LEISURE

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

We have heard a lot of this poem by W.H.Davies. But what is its application?

Who does not like to have some pleasure and delectation? But do we spare some time to see the beautiful idiosyncratic view of nature? The answer is negative for most of us. Whenever we ask a small child to sketch a picture, what does he do? He instinctively gazes into his mind and builds a beautiful bucolic scene which he scribbles. Everyone wants to spend some time with nature’s wonders; everyone wants to have some leisure. But the thing of concern is that most of us are oblivious of it; we merely forget it as we keep ourselves busy in our humdrum routine.
We ought to devote some time to savor nature and for that we must give short trips to the countryside once or twice a week; or even, if possible, everyday. Albeit we have artificial pleasure in our homes, we understand the true meaning of “leisure” during such trips to the agrestic side of the world. Usually, in the outskirts of cities, we have such places. Other than bringing leisure, natural sceneries are didactic too. For example, twilight indicates the time of the defeated, the losers. Per contra, daylight indicates the time of the exultant. The artificial circulation of air that we get from fans is not as pleasant as that of nature, the trees, the oceans, rivers, et cetera. So, what do we infer from this? NOTHING IS MORE DELECTABLE THAN NATURE.

Summer Vacations (projects are a nuisance)!!!!!

Ho ho!!! Hurrah!!!! The summer vacations are on the way to begin. But there's no such reason for my exclamation. Goddamn projects!! They'll take the hell out of every one's life..Search the net, do this, do that, stick this, stick that- those shit have all fucked up in my head!!! There are no science projects (except Maths) and there begins my dole. No bio practicals, only drawings (don't take it negative); physics practicals and chemistry practicals complement some of the bliss; they are ike my "saviours!";

"Hike in fees????!!!!!! We will show ya!!!!!"

"Hike in fees? we'll show ya!" parents and guardians of some convent schools in Siliguri have lodged a lot of complaints regarding the recent hike in the school fees. The Chhatra Parishad had declared a strike on Friday. It is still not understood if Monday will be school. They have left every student panic-stricken. A meeting had been held among the heads of Don Bosco, SJS Matigara, Jermel's Academy and Nirmala Convent School. But it had failed. So was the cause for the strike to be called for an indefinite number of days. The "Protestant" movement put up by the guardians shall not go fruitless; I think so......Let's wait and see.......

What is actually meant by SMARTNESS??????

Different people have different ideas or sometimes prejudices about this very word. Well, some say a stylish person (u know what I mean) is SMART. In fact, they mean that if one has good looks and moves in "style", then he or she is ought to be SMART. But they are completely of the wrong belief. Smartness actually means the ability to act in arduous and lugubrious circumstances at the rigorous minute. That's what is called SMARTNESS. But it does not mean that one can be shabbily dressed in an interview telling everyone that he is smart. Readers!!!! Send in your comments!!!!

Does GOD exist????

Yes, does God exist??? Most of us are theists.....but can they answer science? Think rationally???? The answer is no. Science deals with this ordeal in a straight forward manner; just ask the question:"can u see God????". If u can't, there is NO God, if u can see, there is God. But the latter is impossible. I am an atheist. People might ask me this question, "if u don't believe in God, so why r u writing the first letter in capitals????" That's indeed a great question!!! For the sake of every theist, I have done this favour. I can't be incongruous, u know..I must respect other's beliefs and follow the beliefs of SCIENCE simultaneously. That's my idea!!! What's urs??? Send in ur comments!!! watch this space for more posts......
